FAQs
What do I wear for my photo shoot?
Don’t worry, with your booking you receive complimentary wardrobe consultation. We will go through what to wear and what looks good in photos. But here are some points to help you get thinking. During your session we allow time for about 5 looks. We recommend you bring anything you feel beautiful in.
* Wear a button down, a robe, or a top with a wide neckline to the studio on the day of your session. This will make the transition from the hair and makeup chair to your first wardrobe choice much easier and avoid having to smudge your makeup or ruin your hair.
*Think texture OVER print. Big, bold and crazy patterns distract from your face, especially in photos. Textures however photograph beautifully. Textures are: cable knit, denim, lace, tulle, chiffon, velvet, even fur. Also, if you absolutely must have a print, consider pairing it with a cardigan or a texture to tone the print down around your face.
*Bring a range. While we only photograph you in 5 outfits, bring 20. We'll put things together at your arrival and who knows? Maybe I'll even put together options you haven't thought to wear yet!
Do you shoot on the weekends?
We offer limited weekends. There is a $200 weekend fee or if you commit to the 10-image package or more, we will waive the weekend fee.
Can I do my own hair and makeup?
While you are welcome to do your own hair and makeup, we highly recommend our professional team to ensure you receive the best possible experience and end result. Our team is trained in providing luxury services and will help you feel pampered and confident during your photo shoot.
Can I be photographed with someone?
Absolutely! We encourage clients to bring along someone they love to be photographed with. If you plan to bring additional individuals or require extra hair and makeup services, additional fees may apply.
Do you go on location?
Yes, please let us know if this is something that you would like. Travel fees may apply.
How much should I budget for a custom photoshoot?
Our creative session fee is $350, this fee does not include any images. Individual prints start at $700 and my imagery collections start at 5 images for $2200. Clients find the most value in our top collection of 30+ images as that is where they find the biggest savings per image.
Can I just get the digitals?
Digitals and prints are the same price. Digital copies of any product purchased are included at high printable and web resolution. For example, say you purchase a collection of 5 images at 5x7 and a gallery-wrapped canvas at 16x24. You will receive digital files of the 5 images sized to 5x7 and the file for your canvas at 16x24.
Do you photograph men?
Of course. Whether men come to my studio with their significant other, or on their own they are always welcome.
Do you photograph newborns?
If a mother wants to be photographed with her newborn, I would be honoured to help her create beautiful legacy imagery. However, if you are looking for traditional newborn photography, with props, baby posed and asleep, I can highly recommend Caroline Bowen at Beloved Photography.
What is your cancellation policy?
To reschedule, the Client may be subject to an additional rescheduling fee of $100, unless the reschedule was due to a service interruption as provided. If you do not show up for your session or cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled time, you forfeit your entire session fee.
Where is your studio located?
